Dr. Phillip S. Dunston is Associate Professor of Construction Engineering and Management in both the Division of Construction Engineering and Management and in the School of Civil Engineering. He received his PhD, MS, and BS degrees from North Carolina State University in Civil Engineering. Dr. Dunston joined the faculty of Purdue University in 2002, following an appointment in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Dunston is a 2003 National Science Foundation Career awardee and a 2007 recipient of the Purdue College of Engineering Faculty Leadership Award. During his time at Purdue, Dr. Dunston has participated in junior high and high school summer enrichment programs conducted by the Minority Engineering Program (MEP) and the Purdue University Science Bound program. He has also led the effort to bring Purdue into the Advancing Minorities’ Interest in Engineering (AMIE) consortium.
