How long have you been a member of the BGA? I joined the BGA in Fall 2009.
How
has the BGA been instrumental in your graduate career? The BGA has
provided a vast network of friends
who've provided me with a wealth of
knowledge and have been a great outlet.
What three words (or phrases) would you use to describe the BGA? Focused, Fun, and Family.
How did you find out about the BGA? I found out about the BGA during the 2008 HBI Visitation.
How has BGA grown since last year? I feel like we've grown into a more close knit group.
What
is your lifelong dream? I hope to live comfortably and hope to be able
to impact the lives of minorities through both health research and
mentoring.
Who were the most influential people in your life? My
uncle has always provided me a great example of the work ethic one needs
to be successful in life.
How would you describe yourself in 3 words? Frugal, Honest, Loyal.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? At a research institute probably.
What is one thing in life you must have? An opportunity to travel somewhere new every now and then.
Why
did you decide to come to Purdue and what do you like most about the
University thus far? I enjoy the sense of community I've experienced
here. I chose Purdue because it had a wide variety of research and had a
lot of support systems in place for its students.
